The last few days, I have been housesitting for a couple of friends. Taking care of their rabbits and cats while they are out of town.

I have had a lot on my plate with my business and have been really focused on staying consistent with my work schedule and daily routines.

The problem is that not sleeping in my own bed and picking up additional responsibilities with the animal care and house chores in addition to my own, my environment has felt inconsistent.

I have felt tired and kind of like there’s not enough time to get everything done. Almost a little overwhelmed and panicked, kind of like I won’t be able to keep up with all the things I really need to do for myself.

But tonight, I was taking a walk with Vanessa. I looked up and saw a clear, beautiful sky. It has been so rainy, wet, and cold lately, but the sky had cleared, and the weather had changed. That’s when It hit me…

I realized that life is always changing…

Even though I have felt overwhelmed, tired, and have been a little out of my element, I have realized that just because everything is not consistent with my typical environment, it doesn’t mean I don’t have to be consistent with my routine.

It’s your routine of the things you do consistently to propel you further that are most important to stay consistently committed to…

I still had the power to follow through on them. Sure, I was in a different environment and had a bit more to do than normal, but that’s life sometimes. As long as I make sure I stay consistent with my routine of things that fill me with energy, I will get all my priorities accomplished.

It was like a wave of relief came over me. I finally understood that even if my environment is inconsistent, I can still stay consistent with my routine. And by doing so, I will be more relaxed and focused on my goals and continuing to move forward relentlessly.

In the end, all this means is that when you feel overwhelmed or out of your environment when things feel inconsistent. Find consistency in your routine. Follow through on those things that give you energy, bring happiness, and fill you up. If you continue to do those, you will continue to find relaxation, contentment, and focus in your life, even when it feels a little off-balance.

With love,
