Your only option is to climb… ⛰️

Life is like hiking a mountain.

It is a constant journey up to the peak — the end of the hike. The destination reached.

And as you hike up this mountain of life, you go through thick trees, heavy brush, flower-filled meadows, and steep rocky grades. And all of it is filled with life!

And along this journey you meet new people, hiking up the mountain. Like you, all these people are on their own journey. They all have their own paths. Their own experience and sights they are going to see. Some have gone through steep climbs, others had to trudge through a muddy area soaked by rain, and some followed a creek bed through a grassy meadow.

At times you travel along with these people. They may not be the ones you traveled with at the very beginning but, you meet them, and they join you along your journey, and you share new experiences and see beautiful views.

But at some point, you reach a fork in the trail. Maybe they continue with you; maybe they don’t. Many you may end up seeing later along the journey.

Sometimes it is tough, and you have to travel alone. Sometimes the hikes are hard, and the nights are cold. But some days it’s beautiful views and sunny skies.

But no matter the day, you have to keep climbing.

Until one day, you finally reach your summit. And so do all the people you have traveled with along the way. But their summit may be different from yours. Their destination may have traveled a different course.

Life’s a climb — a climb up this big mountain. And no matter what is in front of you, who is with you, or the days’ conditions you have to endure, you still have to climb.

So since you have to climb, choose the direction that will bring you the views you want to see. Don’t worry about the trail behind. Don’t worry about other people’s journeys or the steep grade ahead.

You are free to choose. It is an opportunity for you to continue in the direction that you so desire.

So make the decision. And go!

You can’t turn back; you have to continue, so you might as well go where you want to.

It’s your journey. So make the most of it, no matter what you face.

Make Today Great!
